How beautiful on the mountains(A)
are the feet of those who bring good news,(B)
who proclaim peace,(C)
    who bring good tidings,
    who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
    “Your God reigns!”(D)
Listen! Your watchmen(E) lift up their voices;(F)
    together they shout for joy.(G)
When the Lord returns(H) to Zion,(I)
they will see it with their own eyes.
Burst into songs of joy(J) together,

    he has redeemed Jerusalem.(M)
10 The Lord will lay bare his holy arm(N)
in the sight of all the nations,(O)
and all the ends of the earth(P) will see
    the salvation(Q) of our God.

14 Alexander(W) the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what he has done.(X) 15 You too should be on your guard against him, because he strongly opposed our message.

16 At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.(Y) 17 But the Lord stood at my side(Z) and gave me strength,(AA) so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it.(AB) And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.(AC) 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack(AD) and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom.(AE) To him be glory for ever and ever.
